When Amanda Janes looked out the back window of her Sunset District home she saw gray. A foggy gray sky, gray ocean, gray-green trees with gray trunks, gray wood, a gray concrete patio measuring 20’ x 40’. Amanda asked David for an abstract painting that burst with color and exuberant shapes. She lies on a blanket atop the sun and soaks up the painting’s energy.
